Students in Escambia County take state-mandated and county tests. First and second graders take a district reading and math test. Students in fourth grade take the state test, Florida Writes, while K-3 and 5th grade take Escambia Writes. The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT) is taken by third, fourth, and fifth graders. A test-taking guide has been provided with testing tips for students.
