Fifth grade teachers have challenged their students to read 40 books this year! Last year six students actually reached the goal! We are hoping to have even more students complete the challenge this year! Students who are successful will be recognized at the 5th grade award ceremony with a special trophy! There will also be a party to celebrate their achievement! Start reading now!

Read the Rainbow

Our fiction section has been genrefied! Each category is a different color. To encourage students to read books out of their comfort zone we have created Read the Rainbow. Students who read one book from each section and take and pass the AR test will receive a rainbow treat (a bag of Skittles)! They will also be entered into a drawing for a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card and other rainbow prizes!

Besides being able to check out books during the summer, the West Florida Public Library has amazing summer activities and programs. You can also access ebooks through Tumblebooks with your library card number! Be sure to check out the Summer Reading Club!
